Does Masturbation Cause Testicular Cancer?
Current scientific research indicates that there is no direct causal link between masturbation and an increased risk of testicular cancer. In fact, some studies suggest that there may be a protective effect, though the evidence is not conclusive. Testicular cancer is primarily associated with factors like undescended testes, family history, age, and ethnicity. While certain sexual behaviors might affect the levels of hormones which in turn could theoretically impact cancer risks, the connection to masturbation specifically remains unsupported by significant empirical evidence. Thus, while maintaining a healthy sexual lifestyle is part of overall well-being, concerns about masturbation leading to an increased risk of testicular cancer are largely unfounded based on current knowledge.
