Tori Roloff Opens Up About Pregnancy After Miscarriage
Tori Roloff of TLC's "Little People, Big World" announced in November that she was expecting eight months after suffering a miscarriage. This will be her third child, joining son Jackson Kyle, 4, and daughter Lilah Ray, 2.
Roloff posted a series of photos of her holding her pregnant stomach next to a Christmas tree, writing, "I feel like miscarriage truly steals your joy. This pregnancy, it's been so difficult to get excited."
In March, the reality star posted on Instagram, revealing she'd suffered a miscarriage six weeks into her pregnancy.
"We were so excited when we found out we were expecting baby number three, and we couldn't wait to share. We went in for our first ultrasound at eight weeks and found out that we lost our sweet baby two weeks earlier, " Roloff said.
"I've honestly never felt loss like I did in that moment," she continued. "I've never felt so sad, angry, and scared in a single moment. I had no symptoms of losing [our] sweet angel baby, and nothing could have prepared me for hearing our sweet baby was gone."
Roloff revealed her husband was her rock throughout the heartbreaking ordeal. "If there is any silver lining here, it's the realization of how truly blessed we are. We have two happy, healthy, thriving kids, and I know that's not afforded to everyone. We have two kids who we have to snuggle and love on every day," she said.
While the miscarriage delayed some excitement on Roloff's part, she said she's finally starting to relax. "We have seen [the] baby multiple times and we've heard his/her heartbeat a ton. And it's strong. I'm at the point that my husband makes fun of me for going to all the appointments because my OB teased that, by the third, most women skip out on them," she said. "I'm starting to feel [the] baby move pretty consistently, and that has really helped me relax and enjoy these moments with our sweet babe!!"
