Questions About Eddie by Giddy

Eddie is a wearable, utility-patented, FDA Registered Class II Medical Device designed by Giddy specifically to help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) maintain sufficient penile rigidity. Our device comes with an online educational program called the ED Guide, which was developed to help men and their partners with the mental and emotional aspects of ED.

Eddie is intended to be worn around the base of the penis to restrict blood flow leaving the penis. Eddie was designed to apply pressure to the deep dorsal vein without applying pressure to the arteries or urethra. The utility-patented “omega” shape of the device is meant to provide a more comfortable experience (and other benefits) by conforming to the oval shape of the penis (instead of a fixed circle, like traditional constriction rings). Eddie is operated using variable strength tension bands, the Sport band and Comfort band, that can provide a more customizable fit depending on your desired constriction level.

While Eddie may help with some of the physical symptoms of ED, the Guide was designed to help with the mental, emotional, and lifestyle aspects of ED. Your Guide features a panel of experts providing information and exercises about ED and sexual health, is provided free with every Giddy purchase, and is tailored to the individual and their partner.

A Baseline Assessment at the start of the program will calculate the most helpful video curriculum available based on your age, medical history, lifestyle and other factors.

Once you order an Eddie and complete the sizing process, your order will be shipped discreetly to you. Once your order is received, follow the instructions included with Eddie to access your Giddy account dashboard and educational program.

Eddie can be applied safely during any stage of an erection, whether your penis is soft or hard. First, place Eddie at the base of your penis, in front of your testicles, with the opening facing down.

There’s no front or back to Eddie; it’s reversible, so your penis can be inserted into either side. Just make sure that when it’s at the base of your penis, the opening is facing down, leaving your urethra unrestrained which may provide more free-flowing ejaculation.

Once your device is around the base of your penis, apply one of the variable-strength tension bands around the legs of the device. Use the Comfort band (the blue band) if you’re looking for a moderate amount of constriction. Or, use the Sport band (the orange band) for maximum constriction. Use extra caution if you have decreased hand strength, as this could make it difficult to remove your Eddie.

An alternative method for putting on your Eddie, that is popular with the Sport tension band and for those with limited hand strength, is to wrap the tension band around the legs of the device before placing it on your penis. Then using two hands, pull apart the legs of the device, holding them apart slightly to create a wider opening, while sliding the device onto your penis.

If you experience difficulty with this alternative method, try covering the device in lubricant after applying the tension band, and sliding it onto your penis until it reaches the base. Feel free to use any water-based, oil-based, or silicone-based lubricants. If you experience pain or bruising, stop and consult your physician before continuing use.

We recommend consulting with your physician before using Eddie. Before using your Eddie with a partner, we recommend you experiment alone with it first, to become familiar with the constriction level of the tension bands, and how to put on, use, and remove your Eddie.

  1. Eddie is an FDA-Registered, Class II Medical Device developed by urologists and engineers specifically to help men maintain an erection. It’s a non-invasive, non-ingested, non-injected wearable device that doesn’t require a prescription and doesn’t cause the side effects of ED pills.
  2. Eddie features a groundbreaking learning program called the ED Guide that focuses on the mental and emotional aspects of ED. The Guide features a panel of health and wellness experts educating you about ED symptoms and how to improve your health and lifestyle on an ongoing basis. The Guide is personalized for each user based on their age, medical history, lifestyle and other factors. It’s password-protected and accessible online via phone, tablet, or desktop computer.
  3. Cock rings are simple tools that are flawed by design. They’re shaped like a ring, or a circle, which can be uncomfortable to wear on your penis because the penis is actually shaped like an oval. The circle shape of cock rings can squeeze the entire girth/base of the penis on all sides, which can cause pain, discomfort, even retrograde (backwards) ejaculation.
  4. Meanwhile, the utility patented “omega” shape of Eddie is the first of its kind. It was designed to fit the actual shape of the penis to provide a more comfortable, natural experience and finish. Eddie was designed to allow blood to flow into the penis and stay there, without applying pressure to the urethra or arteries, which is essential in maintaining erections. It applies pressure to the dorsal vein while leaving the circumference of the penis unencumbered. Eddie is also designed to inhibit constriction of the urethra, which may allow for more free-flowing ejaculation.
  5. Eddie also comes with two sets of variable strength tension bands; the Sport band and Comfort band. The tension bands offer a more customizable fit from your Eddie, depending on the level of constriction you’re looking for in the moment.
  6. Instead of a solid, closed cock ring that can be difficult to remove, Eddie features a fast and convenient quick release mechanism.
  7. Cock rings are often times made of basic materials like metal, glass, or even wood. Eddie is made from medical-grade polycarbonate/ABS alloy and coated in proprietary thermoplastic elastomer (TPE); it was designed to be soft to the touch, and be more comfortable to wear than traditional constriction rings.
  8. Eddie is available in 4 different sizes (A, B, C, and D) that can accommodate the body types of approximately 98.99% of men. Our sizing process was scientifically developed to provide the optimum fit based on your body type and desired constriction levels.

Eddie is a wearable, utility patented, FDA Registered Class II Medical Device for maintaining penile rigidity. It doesn’t require a doctor visit or a prescription, and has none of the side effects of ED medications. It’s constructed from medical grade materials and doesn’t require any pills or injections. When used properly, Eddie should not result in any harmful side effects. Side effects resulting from misuse of Eddie should be minor and infrequent. It’s important to closely follow all warnings, precautions, recommendations, and instructions for use included with your Eddie. As with any medical device, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.

We’re happy you’re taking a positive step toward improving your health, wellness, and happiness. Unfortunately, by law we are not allowed to diagnose or advise our customers on their medical history or any health conditions they have.

Because every person, medical condition, and treatment protocol is different, we’re not able to confidently speak to your specific situation, and whether Eddie and our program will work for you based on your circumstances. To do so, it would require an in-person evaluation by a doctor which we are unable to provide at this time. We recommend speaking with your doctor about Eddie if you have questions or concerns, and we’re happy to provide whatever information we can to assist in that conversation.

We understand this answer may not be as satisfying as an official medical diagnosis; however the safety of our customers remains a top priority and our goal of helping men and their partners achieve an optimum result with ED may at times include an in-person evaluation by a doctor.

Eddie can be applied during any stage of an erection; from flaccid to erect. Some users find it easier to put on Eddie while flaccid, while others find it easier to put on the device while fully erect. Put on Eddie before or during foreplay, or before sexual intercourse; whatever provides the best result for you and/or your partner.

While Eddie itself will not necessarily help you achieve an erection, the ED Guide educational program provides information and exercises about sex, intimacy, arousal, achieving erections, and more. Before using Eddie with a partner, we recommend using it along first; to become familiar with wearing and removing the device and tension bands.

For men with mild to moderate ED, Eddie can be a standalone option; for men with moderate to severe ED, the device can be added to your regular ED treatment protocol, which might include medications, a vacuum pump, or other treatments as indicated by your medical provider. We are not able to advise our customers on their specific medical history, health conditions or existing treatment(s) for ED without an in-person consultation. We always recommend consulting your doctor before using Eddie.

Eddie is constructed from durable, medical-grade materials that will last an extended period of time if you follow the usage, cleaning, and storage instructions. Because tension is applied with each use, your Eddie and tension bands will naturally stretch and lose tension over time, and because the device is used around intimate and sometimes sensitive areas of the body, for cleanliness purposes we recommend replacing your Eddie every 4 months, or as needed based on your frequency of use.

Some other reasons you might replace your Eddie include:

  • If you have changed sexual partners
  • If you or your partner is suffering from a viral bacteria, or contagious medical condition
  • If your Eddie has lost tension from frequent use

We’re pleased to announce that by popular demand, our device sizing questionnaire, the Fit Quiz, is now available online to anyone who wants to try! If you’re curious to know if you’re a size A, B, C, or D in our device, click here to try the Fit Quiz.

If you have concerns about the size or fit of your Eddie, we encourage you to first watch this short video about how the device should feel.

Currently, Eddie is available in four sizes; A, B, C, and D. These four sizes are capable of accommodating approximately 98.99% of American males. At this time, Giddy is currently only able to accommodate sizes in this range.

We’re always looking to improve how we serve men and their partners affected by ED. We plan to expand our product line to include an even wider population of body types, shapes, and sizes. For updates, follow us on Facebook and Twitter (GetMeGiddy) and Instagram (@Giddy).

We recommend wearing Eddie for no longer than 30 minutes at a time, and also recommend waiting 60 minutes in between each use. Refer to the Instructions for Use and safety warnings included with your Eddie for more information.

Your Eddie, tension bands, and carrying case can easily be cleaned by rinsing them with warm water and lathering them with a non-abrasive, antibacterial soap. Avoid using bleach, chlorine, or any chemicals that could irritate the skin or cause an allergic reaction. After rinsing and lathering, rinse again then dry using a paper towel, towel, or air-dry.

Your Eddie is constructed from medical-grade materials that will last an extended period of time if you follow the usage, cleaning, and storage instructions. Because it is used around intimate and sometimes sensitive areas of the body, for cleanliness purposes we recommend replacing your device every 4 months, or as needed, based on your frequency of use. More details about cleaning and using your Eddie are available in the ED Guide educational program, included for free with every Giddy purchase.

Questions About ED

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is caused by a number of factors, but the most important is blood flow to the penis. When a man suffers from ED, his body is unable to get and keep enough blood in the penis to cause and maintain an erection. There are both physiological and physical reasons why a man might experience ED symptoms; some men may suffer from health issues like prostate cancer, obesity, or heart disease, which can cause ED symptoms; other men may suffer from anxiety, stress, or sleep disorders that can cause ED.

These are just a few examples of what might cause ED, but Giddy’s online educational program called the ED Guide features Lessons of in-depth information about ED and sexual health. A team of experts discusses in detail the causes and effects of ED on both the body and mind, and what can be done to make improvements. The ED Guide is included for free with every Giddy purchase.

In addition to speaking with your physician about any health concerns or ED-related questions you have, we encourage you to consider trying our wearable device, Eddie, and educational program, and visit our Blog to scan some of our articles about ED and sexual health.

ED is a spectrum disorder and can manifest in different ways. In more mild cases, men only have difficulty getting an erection on occasion or just can’t maintain one long enough for intercourse. In more severe cases, a man may be unable to get an erection at all. See your doctor for more information to understand your particular situation.

If you receive your Eddie and feel you need a different size, we first recommend watching the detailed instructional videos in your ED Guide about how to wear your Eddie, and how it is designed to feel. Your Eddie won’t feel exactly like traditional constriction rings or other products you may have tried in the past; it’s designed NOT to provide that same type of simple, uncomfortable constriction.

If you’ve already tried your Eddie, accessed your ED Guide instructional videos, and still want a different size, please complete the device Re-Size process by clicking the link below. Please note: Customers who take advantage of the Re-Size process will not be eligible for the Giddy Refund Policy, but will still have access to their ED Guide educational program. A majority of our customers see some form of improvement after using their Eddie for 30 days and completing their educational program, called the ED Guide. While Eddie may help with your physical symptoms, the ED Guide is designed to teach you about the mental, emotional, and lifestyle aspects of ED.

We strongly recommend trying your Eddie and utilizing your ED Guide to the fullest before making a decision. If you prefer, we can restart your ED Guide curriculum to complete the course in 30 consecutive days, as it was intended. It’s our hope you will give yourself time to become more familiar and start seeing progress with your Eddie and Guide before making a final decision. If you prefer a refund, a refund can be provided within the first 30 days of receiving your order. To receive your refund, please submit a photo of your Eddie cut in half (standard household scissors should work). Once we receive your photo, a refund is provided for the full cost of your order, minus $24.95 per Eddie.

Why the deduction from your refund? Because Eddie is a medical device, it cannot be returned, re-packaged, or recycled. The $24.95 per Eddie that is deducted from your refund includes costs for shipping, handling, fulfillment, credit card processing, and other third party services required to complete your order. Please note: refunded customers will lose access to their ED Guide educational program. No refunds are given after 30 days for any reason.

We encourage all of our customers to stay positive and open minded on this exciting (and sometimes challenging) journey. We hope you continue on your path to better health, wellness, and happiness.
